Thanks for taking an interest in our website. My Name is Joseph Matteis Jr. I am the chief instructor here at CT Firearm Training. I personally have over 27 years teaching various types of firearm discipline to include but not limited to the NRA Basic Pistol Course. Our instructors have a cumulative experience of well over 5 decades.

Our Certified Instructors will use the NRA�s Total Participant Involvement instructional methods, and will employ hands-on classroom training aids. All firearms, ammunition, hearing protection and eye protection are provided by the instructors. Our instructors have decades of experience in teaching these fundamantals.

Training Compliance - The NRA Basic Pistol Shooting Course meets the training requirements for a pistol application in Connecticut, Maine, New Hampshire, Florida, New York, etc. Live firing is conducted for all classes.

Group courses are usually scheduled twice monthly, based upon demand. Private courses are also available upon request, and are priced accordingly. Pre-registration is required for all courses.
